Polypropylene
Polypropylene (PP) is one of the most important plastics in the contemporary world, especially among thermoplastic resins (those that deform with heat). Nowadays, polypropylene is the third most commercialised plastic, only behind low density polyethylene (LDPE) and PVC. PP is a polymer with a wide variety of applications. The main applications of polypropylene, without defining its type, are packaging, labels, fabric fibres (used in ropes, carpets and underwear), stationary, laboratory equipment, automobile parts, household items, furniture, grain bags, disposable cups, PET or glass bottle caps, home appliance parts, construction objects, solvent acid and base resistant containers, oil-absorbent blankets and various objects.
