Polyethylene

Polyethylene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic which is marketed in two main versions: LDPE – Low Density PolyEthylene and HDPE – High Density PolyEthylene. The main difference between the two types of polyethylene is its degree of crystallinity, which will be reflected in properties such as stiffness, fusion point and turbidity. They are commonly used materials, low cost and easy to process. They can be easily coloured.
